  • No. Aquinas Painting painters are trusted professionals who will provide quality service whether or not the homeowner is present. It may be more convenient for only painters to be at the job site for productivity reasons.

It may also be safer for homeowners not to be home during certain stages of the work, like sanding or spraying, as those stages may have certain fumes or risks. Whether to be home during a paint job is ultimately up to the homeowner, and they should be comfortable with whatever arrangement they choose.

Paint Mastery

  • A properly painted surface should have an even and consistent coverage, with no visible drips, brush marks, or roller marks.

The paint should be free of bubbles, and any defects should have been properly filled and sanded. The finish should be smooth and evenly textured, and the color should match the desired outcome as closely as possible. Additionally, the surface should be completely dry and free of any surface contaminants before the paint application, and an appropriate number of coats should be applied for the desired finish. Read more about a Properly Painted Surface.

  • The length of time it will take to paint a home depends on several factors, including the size of the home, the number of rooms, the number of coats of paint required, the condition of the various surfaces, and the number of painters working on the project. We can give a more accurate assessment when we know the details of your particular project.

  • We typically begin by inspecting and making any necessary repairs to the surfaces that will be painted, then cleaning the surfaces to remove dirt, dust, and debris. Masking tape and plastic sheeting are used to protect areas that should not be painted, such as windows, trim, and floors. The surfaces to be painted are sanded and primed to create a smooth surface to which the paint will adhere better, and also to prevent stains or previous colors from bleeding through the new paint.
